The next meeting of our NORTH TYNESIDE Public Transport Users Group will take place:
– on Saturday 19 October 2024
– at ‘Big Local Community Centre’ (in the Blue Room), 158 Whitley Road, Whitley Bay
– from 10:30-12:00 (tea/coffee & biscuits will be provided)
The (Go North East) number 1 bus stops just outside and several other bus services stop just down the street. Whitley Bay Metro Station is a 5 minute walk away.
The Community Centre has a lift and toilets.
Everyone is welcome. The meeting is a chance to catch up on recent activities regarding transport in the region, including buses, Metro, rail, walking and cycling, as well as our future programme of events .

Need more transport facilities to the freeman hospital from NE28 9GF.

Hi Rajesh,
It looks like you do have a few options but granted they do involve changing to a second bus to avoid having to walk for a good part of the journey.
Unless you have a pass, using the £6 Tyne and Wear day ticket may be best as it can be used on all operators, all day (and on all modes).
