NEPTUG invites you to a FREE public lecture by Professor Margaret Bell of Newcastle University on Air Pollution and Carbon Emissions from Transport.
Drawing on a lifetime of research this presentation will explain that, despite significant action since the mid-1990s by government to address environmental impacts, transport remains the main source of air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions.
Ideas including innovation in shared mobility services and integrated with public transport to deliver radical changes in travel behaviour are proposed to achieve win-win policies that deliver healthy environments as well as reducing climate impacts.
Wednesday 25 September 2024
Doors open at 6.30pm for a 7pm start.
Newcastle University, Herchel Building, Lecture Theatre 2.
