We can see clearly now the band has gone

For some time at Gateshead Interchange, one of the bus stands had a blue band running horizontally across it’s windows. When sat waiting at the stand it completely obscured the view of the destination screens on approaching buses, which is a little inconvenient when you’re trying to work out which bus is yours.

After overhearing other awaiting passengers comment on this, Paul, a member of our Gateshead group contacted Nexus, asking if they would consider removing the band from the windows.
Nexus’ Bus Station Manager kindly agreed and within a week the band was removed, finally giving a clear view of the numbers and destinations on approaching buses.

Paul said, “After overhearing a couple of fellow passengers comment on the vinyl obstructing their view too, I decided to drop Nexus a quick message once I’d boarded the bus. Their Bus Stop team have always been very helpful when I’ve previously logged any issues or damage with them, so I thought it was worth asking.

“Sure enough they replied to say the Manager at Gateshead Interchange had agreed, and within a week I noticed the vinyl was gone, giving a clear view out to the buses. It might only be a minor improvement but all the little things can start to add up. Thanks again to the Bus Stop team at Nexus”.
